Annoyingly cropped piece of a 1976 Terry O’Neill PR piece for another Star Wars than the one that ended up on the screen. Luke’s garb, being black, is reminicient of his Return of the Jedi dress, and his just-out-of-frame blaster holster similar to the one Han struts around with. You can’t see it, but the pants he’s wearing have a very Solo-esque stripe running down the side of them as well.

Colin Cantwell’s Star Destroyer concept model, which was later changed as it was deemed too militaristic, or nautical or whatever. Either way, Lucas wanted something more romantic.

This one has a spear on its… ehm… bow. So as to allow it to crash into palaces and spear emperors, a stable of science fantasy stories.
